Heavy Oil Conditions The new Crusher is a strong asymmetric ball that the Ebonite line has been missing, and it is not afraid of oil. The Crusher has a low RG, high differential, and a strong intermediate differential, which translates into a strong roll, lots of flare, and great continuation. The core, along with Optimize Hybrid cover and a dull 2000-grit Siaair finish, makes the Crusher an excellent choice to combat heavy oil conditions.

The throwback balls for Columbia 300 continue to bring performance to the lanes that capture the attention of the bowlers. Columbia 300 has worked hard with every throwback release to use attributes from the balls that made them successful in their era and infuse new technology to make them leading products in today’s environment. The Cuda line is a great example. We started with a similar core shape as the original Cuda/C, and we replaced the non-drillable ceramic nugget with PowerCOR for the same results but in a driller-friendly version. The major upgrade to the line has been the coverstock technology, and the Super Cuda PowerCOR uses Formula 1 Hybrid. This cover was chosen because of its strength in oil and how it provides Columbia 300 with a motion unlike anything else in the current line.

The Hitter Pearl is an extension of the very successful Hitter line. The original Hitter used a derivative of the HK22 Solid cover called the Utility cover. The Hitter Pearl takes the performance to the next level with the use of this HK22 base called HK22 Utility Pearl. This cover and core combination yields a cleaner motion and a significant increase in backend reaction. Where the original Hitter had more mid-lane motion, The Hitter Pearl is cleaner and sharper down-lane, making it a perfect complement to the original Hitter.

Never in the history of ever have we matched our nanoparticle pearl coverstock on this legendary core shape. Why you ask? That’s a good question. But that’s neither here nor there. The time was right, and that time is now! Building on the overwhelming success of the original Harsh Reality, a pearl version is a much needed addition. We kept the colors intact from the Harsh Reality Solid for the fans of the series and crafted the pearlized version.
